removal of windsheild/trim??

Post by jamesmx3 »

tried a search didnt come up with anything im guessing this is the right place to post......

i want to paint my mx but im unsure how to remove the windsheild as i think its bonded in. the other cars ive painted have just had a rubber seal around them and the windshield popped straight out!

can just the black trim be removed so i can get to all of the frame?? or does the whole thing need to come out?

if i remember correctly there is trim aound the outside but it is also glued. You need some thin piano wire, something really thin and durable. get someone on the outside and someone in the inside and slide the wire around the outside of the windshield cutting the glue.
