Speedometer prob....

Post by se7en »

okay, I just noticed, that my speedo doesn't work anymore.

did I forget to plug something in? or did I miss something?

sorry to be such a forum hog, but I think that I am running into problems that a lot of people will run into in the future.

thanks

I thought all the dials came off the same fuse, and the speedo comes off the front wheel speed sensors, but if they either of them was screwy then your ABS light would be on. (this is all coming off the top of my head)

Do you have ABS? CEL?

I'd guess you didn't plug everything in, or trapped a wire or something. when did it work last?

Or maybe you just stopped moving.

You probably didn't plug in the VSS. (speedo sensor) It is on top of the tranny, way at the back pretty much right above where the shift linkages hook up.

okay, thanks! I think that I will hook up the speedo again and remember where the rpms are for different speeds, and then unhook it again!
