Center vent A/C switch connector ?

Hello,

My A/C has not been working for a while and I decided to try to fix it.

I know it needs a new compressor.

I took out the center vent to clean the ducts and found that the A/C button is disconnected. There are two plugs behind the button that both fit the back of the button. Can anybody tell me which one is the right plug. There is one with long wires and the other one is short.
