Engine blueprinting section

Post by OROutdoors »

I was very glad to see the new EMS section, and feel that is a great addition to the website. I also suggest another section for discussing the finer arts and sciences of engine blueprinting. Much of the information would not be specific to either 4-cylinder or 6-cylinder sections, but would be good for both. So, I think it would be great to have a section on regrinding crankshafts, lightening pistons, grinding valve stems, adjusting compression ratios, boring and honing cylinder walls, etc. This could be a place we could post some very technical and specific discussions.

For example, I am considering crafting my own "stroker kit" for a BP I'm going to buy this saturday. (Many of the steps, I will do my self, other's I will hire out.) While this may fit under 4-cyl performance, it seems be like the discussion of such is better shared in a blueprint forum.
