Dashboard Removal Help

Post by 2RotorsNaDream »

I got most of my dash off but its still stuck with screws in the back (?) of the dash. It looks like 2 screws are attached to the heater box but how the hell is someone supposed to unscrew those screws. Theres no way to get a screwdriver in there. And I think there might be more back there besides those two also. Please help me out here, my cars been sitting for weeks because I cant replace the heater core.

I'm so frustrated with this dash removal that I think I may end up parting this car out. I cant believe anyone on the planet has small enough hands to get these screws out. Basically I'm just about done with MX-3s because of things like this.

What pissed me off was the backwards screws that were below the defroster vents. Had to use a small screwdriver, and my fingers to turn it. My hands were so scratched up after that dash came off.

I'd bet there is some kind of funky screw driver that would get you in there that you just don't know about or is obscure. Don't get so pissed. I'm scratched up every time I get out from under the MX-3, but it lets me know I've done something ;)

I have that screwdriver and I still cant get these screws out. Yo I've done motor swaps, suspension, brakes, distys, alternators, anything you can think of on this car and I cant get the dash off. How sad is that??

I got it out earlier today finally. Turns out I didnt take out some 10mm screws that I didnt think were for the dash. They are for the dash I now know. Good news is that its out and I'm ready to install my heater core tomorrow.
