Post by cooper_9 »

ze wont start today but i'm takin it in tomorrow to have it looked at. thinking about a tune up at the same time. Just wondering the differences between the ze and k8 with:

everything is the same except thge plugs

k8 plugs are BKR5E-11
ze plugs are BKR6E-11

the difference with the 5 and 6 is the heat range, k8 plugs will work but better to get the proper one and there not hard to find..Also if you get plug wires order them for an MX-6 or a probe. they are longer and go around the intake manifold instead of across and look nicer and also cheaper.

have any other questions feel free to ask

And dont get KLDE 2.5L plugs, since the ZE's pistons aren't domed like the DE's, they'll hit.

Umm, first off DE pistons are dished.

Second, u can use DE Spark plugs. I use them on all my engines and never had a problem with them. I use NGK ZFR-5F11 for all motor, and a ZFR-6f11 when i squeeze nitrous...i have used these up to a 100 shot on pump gas and never had a problem.
