My girlfriend has a 93 V6
Last winter when it started getting cold it wouldn't start.
I figured out if I tapped on the dash it would start fine. First I thought it was a problem with the clutch start sensor so I disconected it.
That didn't help so my next thought is a starter or main ignition relay.
The car won't start at all now so I think it's time to fix it.
We had this same problem with her CRX and the honda guys told us exactly what was bad and where to find it.
I am hoping this is a simalar common problem you guys may be able to help me with.

1) why did you put in that massive break?
2) If you remove the clutch start sensor, it wont start.

Sorry about the break. I fixed it. I must have picked up my laptop by the enter key or something.

I guess I missed the detail that nothing happens when you turn the key. Power is not getting to the starter.
I am pretty sure it's inside because like I said a tap on the dash got it cranking for months.

At least with our car disconecting the clutch sensor just made it so we didn't have to push the clutch in to start it. The only negative side effect was driving with cruise on hitting the clutch to disengage the cruise and having the motor over rev

Last I heard dead batteries didn't come and go and fix themselves when you tap on the dash.

check all the wires to make sure they're plugged in. But check for codes first. put a wire in the diagnostic box under the hood. Put one end in GND & the other end in TEN. then go in the car turn the key but dont start it. The check engine light will blink a certain number of times to tell you whats wrong with the car. write down the number of blinks. a long blink is ten by the way. so if it flashes 5 times its code 5. Look it up on the online shop manual on the mx-3.com page. I don't remember the exact page the codes are on. Anyways g/l
