Need advice, ignition problems

OK yeah sure the car was running right for ONE DAY..


Anywho started in the morning and then it ran a few blocks before it left me stranded. Tought it was the hei. Towed car home. Replaced hei but it did have spark and no go. Checked for fuel , fuel seems to be there. Checked the crank position sensor (ten + ground+ spin the disty and listen for injectors) So i tried the millenia disty just for the hell of it.. and then when it didnt work. I reconnected the original disty and now i get NO SPARK.. im like WTF, where did it go.



Again checked crank angle and good. No spark.

How does one check the coil for resistance? I know where coil + and - and got a multimeter. They seem to have continuity. Also tried k8 ecu, kf ecu and de ecu. All of them same thing. No spark now...

Used search and all i found is people with my problem and no resolution to it. It bites becayse just yesterday it was driving fine!

Oh and i have the coil completely out now. Any ideas how to test it? all of them seem to have continuity. b+ b- and Tach. Also the tower output (big hole)

have you taken out the stock ignition module?

Ok, i think i got it. I want to apologize to everyone for posting alot hah.. i ahd to miss work today. Im sure my posts will someday help a lost soul..anywho.


I replaced FPR, most importantly the HEI. My spark plugs are fairly new but they were run hard on the kf so they were worn out. NGKs btw. So i opulled all 6 out, cleaned all six, all six where SOAKED in fuel. It appears i had a bad hei. Reason it did not start earlier its because the car was just simply flooded and i was not disconnecting fuel pump relay before startiong. So it would appear to want to start but would not. Tomorrow ill get me a new set of ngk.
spark plug wires. Also my wiring was ugly and crap in other words. I didnt ground it properly so thats why original hei died. I must say it was good tho, lasted over a year and a half with poor grounding.

I must say i WILL NOT drive car until i test it correctly and make sure everything is ok.

Again I apologize for all my posts but well i hope they help someone out.

I actually took the entire disty appart checked coul, checked crank position sensor, checked every wire , every sensor, every thing except timing. Thanks for looking.
