I have no sound on the left side speakers. I have already check the settings on CD player, and I know its not the player itself since it had been happening on the old CD player(not the factory player either). Eventually it would come back.
I was hoping someone has heard of a problem like this before, because it would be a big help. Every now and then I get some static and even music out of the left side...but not often. I havn't got the actually start tracing down the problem yet(lack of time), but was wondering if the MX-3 has any funky wiring issues that could cause this.
I have already rulled out the player since the problem exists with 2 different units. What pisses me off is that the problem became permanint 2 days after I bought a brand new MP3 cd player unit.

Nope, no funky wiring from Mazda. How about the previous 1 or 2 owners before you? How many sound system mods has the car seen?SpikeDerailed wrote: was wondering if the MX-3 has any funky wiring issues that could cause this.

If the speaker on works SOMEtimes, then its probably the speaker...
Take of the speaker grill, and take out the screws that hold in the speaker. Look at the wiring, make sure everything has a good solid contact. You might need to wip out a solder iron and give it some lovin, to get that good conection.
If that doesn't work, follow the wires to the back of the CD player and see if those are connected problem.
Try out my suggestions, see what you find.
