Still running rich.. VERY
Ok so i pulled the engine and oput it back in, checked every single connector and sensor..nothing looks out of the ordinary. My fuelk filter IS disty. Car hasnt run becaused i broke my SS clutch line so i had to order another one. I floor it and at high rpms i get black smoke. I replaced front oxygen sensor. Any ideas? can a dirty fuel filkter cause it to run rich?? im sorta lost LOL i do feel however that im sorta close to finding the problem since i did almost everything..

MX-3 w/ curved neck millenia klde, boosted @ 5 psi. /bov and wastegate are good!/ nitto drag radial/ gutted interior/ millenia red top injectors, vortech fmu/aem wideband/ all bolts ons/ Car put together 100% by me. Mechanic? who needs a mechanic? ew.. real men work on their own cars!

can a dirty fuel filkter cause it to run rich??
-dont know - but i would guess it can make it run rich.
Other things to look at (maybe)-
- Maybe Coolant Temp Sensor is out and the ecu is dumping fuel to get it to the right temparature?
- Is the VAF adjustable - to make the mixture lean?
- Try running a ground wire to the metal part of the o2 sensors that's sticking out - It helped my engine lean out a lot (i am thinking about a 4-wire conversion) - it may not be the same for 6 cyl though.

What Im doing is replacing fuel filter, replacing oxygen sensors and thejn replacing coolant sensors. Ill try to replace the vaf but that this is so pricey :S i get no codes for any of those.. i think it may be the iac.. not to sure. let me know if any of u fix that problem. anything over 5k roms PUUUFF black smoke..
