How do you mean? All I do is just drag all my mp3's from wherever they are and drop them where it says 'library' in the itunes software. OR you can go to File in itunes and just go down to 'add files to library' or 'add folder to library'. It dosent matter where the mp3 is from as long as its an mp3.

Umm.. I think you can remove them from your library if you want by right clicking and then clicking 'clear' . Other wise.. find the songs you dont want on your ipod in the library list and then just click the little checkbox next to the songname and make it so the song is unchecked. Then just sync up your ipod and it should remove it.

Just so you know, you can delete songs, but itunes won't let you copy them back on to your computer. Yet you can get programs for that.

IF YOU HAVE NOT SETUP YOUR IPOD FOR MANUAL SONG TRANSFER DON'T CONNECT IT TO ANYONE ELSE'S COMPUTER OR IT WILL ERASE ALL YOUR SONGS.
Itune's won't let you copy back... the files are in a hidden file on the ipod drive...It's x:\Ipod_Control\Music\... All the files are converted to 4 digit code inside files named F01-Fxx.. You can copy them back just as is.. and then you a program like
File Renamer. Which has ID3 tag reading and can rename the files to however you like..Or use any number of programs availible to copy them off with the id3 tag already remade..[/img]
