Hi,
I'm looking for a new daily driver and the two cars that I'm currently looking at are the MX-3 and the Toyota MR2 N/A. I just have a few questions about the two if you guys don't mind helping me out.
Anyways, eventually would like to run low 14's to high 13's in the 1/4. If I did get the MX-3 I think that I would probably swap in a BP and boost it. Do you think that I could achieve those times with a swap and a turbo? If I just swapped in the BP and did full bolt ons with tuning and some headwork, what kind of times do you think I could reach? Also, how difficult is the swap? I've never done a swap before but do you think that I could do it? I've heard it's a pretty straight forward swap, as easy as they get...
So, I know that you guys will probably be a little biased but for a daily driver that can be a fun car, which would you guys recommend? I know that both can handle quite well but was just curious what you guys think. Do you think it's worth it to get an MX-3, swap an engine into it and still not make as much power as the MR2? It does seem like a lot of work. The BP would be a good base for boosting though, right? Anyways, which would you guys pick for a daily driver if you had the choice?
Sorry for the essay! Thanks!
Worth it? Feasible? Car comparison...

With a BPT swap, low 14s should be nothing hard to accomplish.
If you go for a V6 Mx3, the KLZE swap aswell will put you in the low 14s

If you get a V6 MX its just as fast as the MR2 N/A. Swap in a ZE and there you go, mid 14s. Easy and very cheap. On the other hand I do love those MR2s, they look real good and theyre RWD. Both cars would be a good choice but I'd say go with the MX3 for the extra 2 seats.

If it was up to me, I would just get both
Mx3 for the looks
Mr2 for the power
Those things look like fun to drive
I'd pimp one anyday

Yeah MR2's are cool little cars. They're rear engine and rear wheel drive, which you don't see to often in cars for their price. but speaking of their price, they usually run upwards of 4k for a second generation with a good body and engine. You can find V6 mx-3's for almost half that around here.

One of the questions that you need to answer is: Will I ever use those 2 extra seats in the MX3?
When I bought mine, i didn't think that i would ever use them, but it's surprising how nice it is to be able to have one or two extra persons in the car.
Also when you lay down the back seat, you can carry a lot of stuff. At one time I had more than 18 frames (30 cans in each frame) of soda and beer in the back along with some bottles and a sleeping bag.
Try that in a MR2.
Also I think that the mx3 looks better
