The ones that i've seen pics of have looked pretty shoddy regardless of personal taste
An MX3 is pretty unique....., certainly more unique than a del Sol

I dont want a del sol if i wanted a del sol i would have bought one. But imo i just dont like the back glass and want to drop it. And would like to be able to drive it in the rain so just taking off the hatch and not replacing it with anything is not a option. So what would u suggest? The only real thing i can think of is like a sport back conversion. Also do you want to critsize me for getting ready to put celica or 350z head lights on it?

I like the sport back too , alot of people don't like our glass .. Its your opinion man , I would go to a scrapyard and pick up a del sol hatch cut and weld onto out stocker and make a custom fit , Use a peice of lexan for the back window , If you can do a headlight conversion , Im sure that you can make one of these hatches ..
Good luck
Kris
PS Onderground was the only place I know that made them

I like my car & the way it looks, but had considered this conversion for the weight savings. From what I can tell of the pics, it's gonna look awesome. Please post more when it's done. So freakin what if Honda, and Toyota did it first?! If you love the glass, look @ it this way, now there's another peice out there, if yours breaks!
P.S. It's peotic justice that you spelled "poser" wrong

i have to agree all the MX's with the DelSLow hatch conversion look like crap., only besause they did a bad job of doing the conversion. it definatly has the potential of looking good. Now that MR2 hatch conversion would be sweet as hell. it really looks great. you need to get rid of the Toyota in the glass, but besides that it looks great.
tha other option is to do an old fasion 4x4 Canvase button on top with a plexy window. then you could take it off and on when ever you wanted. now that would be sweet. lol

I like em because of the tremendeous weight that wopuld be taken off the car itself. But thats just me. how heavy is that? 200 lbs? if i could do a fiberglass hatch or something

One prctical downfall is that it woud kill the aerodynamics.
