Fitting aftermarket seats?

Post by projectmx »

Well i did a little bit of a search and got some ideas... but we dont' have a good comprehensive post on fitting after market seats... and when we do it should go in the FAQ cause i'm sure others after me will be looking into this... now i picked up a new mx3 (current one is totalled) and the interior is shot... i don't even want to re-upholster cause they are so bad... so i found a pair of blue 3A racing reclinable seats for only $156 brand new so i went and picked them up... now i won't be putting them in for a little while but i wanted to start working on fitting them at least so when it gets time that the new mx is running i can put them in without trouble. I read of a few people looking into getting sliders from apc / cardomain and a few other places that were supposed to bolt in then never heard again if it worked... does anyone know if it was successful and if so which ones were other than that are there any good explanations for how they were attatched whithout making the seats a lot higher? i've put mx3 seats in my protege before and that wasn't too hard a little drilling and whatnot but i'm a little unsure of this so any ideas would be great.

thanks
