weird thumpish feeling

When ever i put alot of gas into the engine from astoped position whenever it first shifts it like, thuds into gear and then starts goin faster? just me or what?

have the same problem ...

General (critical) maintenance -
1) Change tranny fluid/filter
2) Add transmission oil cooler (probably around $40 and takes 10-20 minutes to install)

Source of your thumping problem (maybe)
3) Check transmission/engine mounts (you can get good cheap mounts from http://rockauto.com or http://stopshopanddrive.com -mtx and atx use the same mounts except for the front radiator side mount which is smaller for mtx but you can still use it for atx- it takes 40mins to an hour to change all mounts and you would need floor jacks to support the engine/tranny while changing mounts - the rear mount is a b**ch and it would be real easy if you had the car lifted up. And a good impact wrench will come in very handy.)
