I just ordered new MX-3 strut mounts from partsamerica.com
For some reason, they came up less expensive ($29.99 each) when I typed in my old zip in Nevada vs. $41.99 for Chicago, so I typed in I lived in Nevada still and they gave me that price plus free shipping. I believe the Monroe Strut-Mate Mounting Kit also comes with new strut bearings at that price. I guess I'll find out when they get here. If they include strut bearings, I find that deal hard to pass up as I've seen just the boot cost $30 some places.

As a follow up to finalize my thought in this thread, yes the Monroe Strut Mate Mounting Kits come with strut bearings as well. They're a pretty good deal. I just bought a second for my other side at PepBoys locally, and that was only $32 locally.

If you're talking about the cheap $150 Tokiko ZX2 struts, then yes, you need to go through a Ford dealership because they're Ford Racing exclusive replacement parts.

Are they still good quality even though they are cheap? Is that $150 for all 4 or 2 or 1?

That's for all 4. If you bought regular market Tokikos (non-Ford Racing) they'd be over $100 EACH. I don't have either, so I can't comment, but the people that have them seem to like them.

here is a very important note that not very many people know about the zx2 struts. You want to get the struts and springs from the sr version of the zx2, they have a shorter strut rod and are the only ones that come with the eiback springs.

Could you let me know what else comes in this kit? Strut mounts and strut bearings that go into the upper spring perches? Thanks.
Isn't that what I just said? A strut mount and a strut bearing????
