Interesting Pictures You Guys Might Like...

Post by fry_81 »

Hey everyone, i figured you guys might find this as interesting as i do, well recently i heard about an abandoned town that is near by my house. I thought this was impossible. My friend who told me about it, said that it is surrounded by a forest, so its tough to find out about. Didnt believe him at first, until he took me there.....it was really cool, kinda creepy though being the only people walking through an entire town. and its still fairly new looking. Its just so strange to walk through a forest than it turn into an empty town. houses, school, movie theatre, recreational center, bowling alley, stores, everythings still there.
enjoy.

Do you know why it was abandoned?

Why haven't all the buildings been stripped??? There's a fortune just in scrap wire just sitting there..... I'd be out there with a truck in 2 minutes flat!

Yea I been to a town like that in Texas but that was because of a massacre happened and noone would live there. But there are towns like that here to in Wyoming that get abandoned because the oil boom stops than towns die, or it's a secret coverup that the military doesn't want anyone to know about. :freak:

well if you look on maps...you'll never find it...because it doesnt exist on maps for some reason, its very strange. As far as I know, the town didnt have a name, none of the streets had names(which is really strange, considering there were well over 10 streets of houses) I'm still yet to learn what it is, why it was abandoned, and why its in the middle of a forest. maybe ill look around for a newspaper next time im there.

I would love to see bigger pictures of it....those were so small...

Is there any sign of an old road that lead into it? I would love to come check that out one day...

ya i know the pics are rather tiny, photo bucket shrinks them unfortunatly. lol ya i thinking the same thing about the village the first time i saw it. lol and ya an auto x event would be really cool. but unless our cars are heli-dropped in there, its looking doubtful lol as i have yet to find any sort of entrance. ill keep searching, and ill keep everyone updated.
