Terpentine in battery
Terpentine in battery
The battery on my car is going bad and this guy I talked to said that I should put a drop of turpentine in the battery and reactivate the contacts or something. I really doubt it cause I've never heard anything about it before. Any of you guys heard anything like this? Thanks
scratch the terpentine... since it is a base, and making the acid's ph go up will make the battery not function as well as it should.
if ever a cell in the battery goes bad (ie: the lid tops go black, the acid (liquid) is foggy, or what not)
empty the acid from that cell, be careful and wear protective gear.
fill it 3/4 with distilled water, and the rest of the way with concentrated sulfuric acid.
it'll keep your battery going for a couple more months, until you save enough for a new battery.
usually if a battery goes bad, it doesnt hold a charge as long as it should... it discharges easily.... and the cause is usually because of the lead leafs inside of the battery's cells get messed up.
