emergency brake signal light

ok so when I accelerate quickly the light by my gauges comes on showing that the e-brake is engaged, but it isn't and i can't figure out why. Has this happened to anyone else?

It also comes on if the brake fliud is low in the reserviour. Most likely cause.

If the brake fluid is low, that light will come on. If thats the case, then make sure you check for leaks in your brakelines. This just happened to me 2 weeks ago.

Just ton confirm the brake fluid check...happened to me when my one caliper was leaking fluid

My brake light was coming on at random times, sometimes when accelerating, other times when I hit bumps on the road and usually it would go away. The problem was simply was that it was a little low on brake fluid, still had a fair amount but I guess it dropped to certain level where the censor kept going off.
