What are some good speakers for rear?

Post by mxmaz »

When i put my blown stock speakers in the rear they sound pretty loud. Right now i am after trying a few different aftermarket speakers back there but for some reason they are not loud at all with the deck at the same volume. Is it because the speakers are no good for the stock enclosure? I have no problems with aftermarkets up front. What speakers would be well suited for the stock rear enclosure?

I've found that Kenwoods are pretty loud hooked to the deck.

I am pretty pleased with my Kickers.. DS 60 series.. 100W Peak 50W RMS.. I put a set in the rear and a set in the doors.. they have a nice punch for a system without a sub or amp other than the Mosfet amp in my panasonic head unit.

I recently put Kenwood KFC-1689ie 3-way spkrs in the front and they sound xlnt. May be better 6.5" 3-ways out there but for the cost, these had the best specs I found. http://www.epinions.com/pr-Kenwood_KFC- ... full_specs I bought 2 pairs from separate ebay auctions for <$50 USD shipped per pair. Haven't installed the 2nd set in the rear enclosures yet. (factory ones blown/removed) Anyway, these are running through a factory Mazda deck and sound pretty loud at low volume control settings. They are rated for 2w-50w RMS.
