my horn doesnt work
My cousin is about to get his license...and he needs a SLOW tiny car to take his drivers test in. But the sad part is...I cant get the horn to work. And thats one of the first things they check...and they wont let you take yur drivers test unless your horn works. I got a new horn and it still does not work. Is there a relay somewhere because I never seen a fuse. I need to get this thing fixed so I dont end up with a ghetto horn button on my dash. Thanks everybody!

The horn is on the same fuse as your brake lights, I think it's the 'STOP' fuse IIRC. If the fuse isn't blown, check the relay under the dash. To find it, press your horn button and you should hear the relay clicking below. Track it down and replace it. I had to do this, pocketed a relay from the junkyard...but now it blew again, so my problem must lie in the wiring

If you can't locate the horn relay by hearing it click, it should have the following coloured wires going to it:
GREEN / WHITE
GREEN / YELLOW
GREEN / BLACK
Try bridging a ground wire to the GREEN / BLACK wire (with it still connected to the relay) and see if the horn operates.
If not, short the GREEN / WHITE with the GREEN / YELLOW and see if it works.

I finally got time to find the relay....I CANT FIND IT! I seen a whole bunch of green and white wires but no green/yellow or green/black. I forgot to mention I do have a 95. I seen a whole lot of relays but couldnt find the one I was looking for. Even the Chiltons book doesnt say whats what about the horn. The saga continues...

Ah ok - the 95 has different colours!
GREEN / WHITE
GREEN / ORANGE
BROWN
If you can find that relay, shorting the GREEN / ORANGE terminal to ground should operate the relay and the horn should sound if the relay is ok.
The GREEN / WHITE should be positive at all times.
Shorting the GREEN / WHITE to BROWN should operate the horn, bypassing the relay and switch, proving the horn itself is ok.

sry for the TRIPLE post!!
I jumped the wires...the horn works. Is there anything I can jump to make the horn operate from the buttons on the wheel without the relay? I dont feel like stealing a relay or gettin a $15 one from Advance Auto. If I cant ghetto jump it, and I get a new relay, and the horn still doesnt work...this car is going to be sold to a mexican...and lil Jimmy will have to do without the car on the drivin test.

Which wires did you jump:
the GREEN / ORANGE terminal to ground
or
the GREEN / WHITE to BROWN?
If the second one, what happened with the first one? Gotta make sure its the relay that is u/s, not the switch.

You shouldn't jump the GREEN / ORANGE to anything - jump the terminal it goes onto to ground. That would check if the relay works.
By bridging the GREEN / WHITE to BROWN you proved the wiring is ok from the relay to the horn.
If you want to get ghetto, all you can do is put a push button across the GREEN / WHITE and BROWN wires but it would be easier to just replace the relay (as long as it is the relay, you really need to jump the terminal that the GREEN / ORANGE goes onto to ground to prove it). You can't bypass the relay because the horm push button just shorts the negative of the relay coil to ground.
