What is a front link kit
What is a front link kit
My mechanic said i need a new front link kit. What would that consist of besides the links themselves?

I assume your mech means the stabilizer bar endlinks/droplinks? Nothing included in a "kit" except that he might be referring to "kit" as a pair of replacements instead of just a single endlink. They are sold separately/individually for our cars and most imports but for many American manufactured car models, you don't buy a single replacement link, you buy a replacement kit which includes both endlinks, that's all.
-JimNow I'm by nature not very trusting of shop mechanics, so take my opinion with a grain of salt.
I would be slightly nervous of this mechanic for one of two reasons: A. He doesn't know what the part is called...I work in a restaraunt, and don't think my customers would be very comfortable with me calling their meal 'the meat thing with the green crunchy stuff' or what have you -or- B. There's nothing wrong he can find, so he went and made something up...but I'd at least hope he'd be smart enough to find an actual part to 'fix'.
What exactly did you take your car to him for?
