ok... i have manual windows... and my drivers side window LOVES to creep down on me... whenever i get into my car i have to roll it up the quarter inch it fell down and about every 15 minutes after that it seems i hear air whistling letting me know its time to roll it back up... anyone have this problem and know how to solve it?
just trying to save myself time... oh yea, and there's another question... when i do roll my window DOWN it makes a scuffing, farting noise on its way down... sounds like its rubbing on something on the way down... just curious why all the sudden it decided to start doin that this week

Re: window creeps down on me
I dunno. I've had 2 MXs and they both do it. I've even had the drivers window replaced, but it still happens. I think its just a quirk with some of these cars.

Re: window creeps down on me
have you removed the door panel to see what is causing the vibration? Sounds like it could be the spring in the crank mechanism. It keeps the window up, and if there's a problem with it, the window doesn't work right. The spring applies the tension necessary to keep the mechanism in check at all times. Just a thought, had some experience on my truck when replacing the door and swapping out the crank mechanism.
check it out, you may at least be able to see what isn't moving smoothly.

If not broke - don't fix, modify. If broke - fix it right, and make it better.
