Results of my first drag day ...

Post by xXx_OTEP_xXx »

I thought my car was a lot faster than it actually is... thought it would run around 16.4 but uhhh nope .. lol
Almost beat a silver VW GTI turbo when he had a bad start, he beat me by 0.2s i think
I did beat the Ford ZX2 though, my only kill.. good race too
here was my best run.. came at the end of the day
Reaction - 1.013 (one of my worst)
60 foot - 2.591
330 - 7.365
1/8 mile - 11.323
1/8 MPH - 62.63
1000 - 14.774
1/4 mile - 17.702
1/4 MPH - 76.84
Car is basically stock... its a 1.6L DOHC RS and has a K&N filter, 2.25" cat-back exhaust and .. well thats it.. No weight reduction, except taking out the subs and the spare tire. All seats stayed in..
So based on my very slow times and my car, was it the car or the driver holding down the times?
I'm thinking its the driver but i dont know what my car SHOULD run... thanks
-Dean

Nah dont get your spirits down =] yeah you might get better times with that car say if you only had 3000 miles on it but the given times are about right given the modifications..
i remember my first rubn in my RS was about a 10.9 on a 1/8h with a good luanch the car would run 10.6 all night...
next week i will have some more times.. i doubnt any quicker than the ones i have laid down latly though given the climate just got whole hella hotter here.. hit 102 today..
just remember if you car runns in the 15's you will prolly win most street races you will ever get into =]

When I ran my RS for the first several times. I managed to pull a 16.7 and the only mods I had then were a PRM Intake and custom cat-back exhaust. Now I can only pull low 17's since I have put way too many miles on it.
