Easy Weight Reduction tips?
I'm going to the strip on Friday and I'm looking for some easy ways to reduce my car's weight..
So far I've removed my subs, taken out the spare tire and piece of wood over it, taken out the hatch cover, taken out the jack, and i'm working on removing the back seats and passenger seat now (those bolts are extremely tight
)
anything that im forgetting? i dont really wanna take my dash apart..
Sold my 95 RS "Little Peanut" but she will never be forgotten.

Remove the passenger seat. Go with 1/4-1/2 tank of gas. Remove the carpet, the insulation, the tar, etc. If you are really anal like me, a 1" hole saw works wonders at removing the last 1 or 2 grams

Just finished removing all the tar on the floor of the car. Quickest way was to use dry ice, score the floor with a utility knife and then use a gasket scraper and hammer. The tar just pops off. Tomorrow I will be pulling out the welder and stitch welding the interior seems to reduce some of the flex in the chassis.

run 2 spare tires on the rear. You wont lose much weight, but they'll have a LOT less drag. Run the pressurse high too. they won't overheat in a short drag race, so no worries.
also, the car needs to be as aero as possible. sounds silly, but it does help.

When you score the tar, basically you are making 3"x3" squares, it chunks off in similar sizes.
