BAD DRIVERS SHOULDN'T DRIVE RX-7s!!!
Two guys from my school (92 rx-7 twin-turbo with intake and ecu VS 96 talon TSI AWD stock) raced on sunday and the guy in the rx-7 lost BAD! (is car is way faster but he is a shitty driver).
Anyways... my question is would it be possible for my GS to get to that level if I do the KL-ZE swap + intake + exhaust + ecu + pullies + etc... or would I have to go turbo to be able to beat those cars????

Re: BAD DRIVERS SHOULDN'T DRIVE RX-7s!!!
I went up against a 2nd gen turbo RX-7.. they come stock 200hp. I have KL-ZE w/ intake. This guy blew me out of the water. I had him from the start...then when the turbo kicked in..he was out of there. Now I wanna turbo my car. Anyone go to Englishtown often to race?

Re: BAD DRIVERS SHOULDN'T DRIVE RX-7s!!!
In response to your question;
KL-ZE, Cold air intake setup, High flow cat, 2.5 inch mandrel bent exhaust, High flow muffler, BFG G-force drag radials or slicks, plus a 50 shot of nitrous(although it usually makes 55H.P and 100PFT at the wheels) and you should be making around 225 H.P and 240 PFT at the wheels which is about
264 H.P. and 300 pound feet of torque at the engine.
Notice I said AROUND! I dont know for sure as I dont have the nitrous on my car, but from many dyno runs of other cars with nitrous I have seen this is close. + or- 20 HP orPFT.
My car cost me 8,400 after 15% tax.
engine cost me 2,600 after tax
new parts cost 1,700 after tax
zex from a friend 700
slicks         600
misc.          800
total. around 15,000
cost of a 94 turbo RX-7 22,000-28,000
