215/50-15 with ZX2 Struts - Problems?

I just got my ZX2 struts (thanks to Vlad) and ordered some Eibach springs to go with them. I'm also ordering new tires for my stock wheels. Tire Rack has the Kumho ECSTA 711 in both the stock 205/55 and 215/50. I'd like to get the 215s, since not only are they 10mm wider, but they're $6 cheaper per tire (yes, I'm cheap.) I searched on the subject and found a warning about using 215s or wider with the ZX2s. I think his problem was wheel offset and not tire width, though.

Is anybody using ZX2 struts with 215/50-15s on stock wheels? Any problems? Thanks.

I have 205/40/17 tires paired with zx2 struts and there is BARLEY enough room to get my pinki finger in between the strut base and the tire. Your walking on thin ice if you get 215's.

I used to run 215/50/15 in stock wheels and Mazdaspeed struts and no problems at all. All depends on a wheel offset. Not sure if ZX2 strut diameter is bigger than that of Mazdaspeeds.
