K8 Boost Pressure

Post by VizualXTC »

I have searched this site and can't seem to find where the post on how much boost the K8 can handle. Can anyone help me out? Also, if I had a good intercooler system, I was lookin at the starion intercooler, how much pressure can the stock pistons and rods handle? Thanks everyone.

The only guy who ever turbocharged a K8 to my knowledge has dropped off the face of the earth. Tekguy seemed to think that the K8 rods were fairly inferior to the KL's. I'd sure think it could take ~8psi on pump gas with no problems...but I haven't tried it. I should have my K8 apart in the next couple of months, so I can take a closer look @ the rods for myself.

I used to know alot about MX-3's, but not so much anymore. Oh well.

He mainly works on GMC engines. and the info would help greatly. thanks
