on how to grease t he gear bushings on a a5 spd and what type of grease u should use???<p>thanks

you have be more specific, never heard of a "gear bushing".

You mean the shifter bushings? Just crawl under the car and go at it. Is your shifter too tight?<p>Maybe explain what problem you're having and we can give you more advice.

Sorry I meant shifter bushings. The prob I am having in when my car warms up my shifter makes a squeaking noise when i move it as if its dry. It also gets difficult to shift when its like that. the gear oil is full with mazda 75-90.<p>thanks<p>ps. what do u mean go at it? do i need to take anything apart and also what grease do i use?

To grease your bushings you will need to remove the bolt going through the bottom of the shifter that attaches it to the linkage (the black rod with the other end bolted to your tranny). I believe this is a 12mm nut. I have some Valvoline grease you can get at Autozone. If you're shifts suck and you're going to be removing the bushings anyway, why not replace them? A few bucks from Mazda or $30USD for Bronzoil ones at Corksport.<p>John
