Is there a way to test if the Catalytic Converter is plugged up without taking it off?<p>Can you measure the exhaust manifold pressure anywhere? What should it be?

What syptoms lead you to believe it may be clogged? Drive the car on the highway at night. Then pull over and look under the car to see if the cat is glowing. If it is, you've got a plugged cat.
