Where to mount on engine stand?

Post by IvsD »

While looking over the KLZE, I decided that it is best to mount it onto an engine stand using the holes that bolt into the tranny. Now, I am worried about damaging the threads, so I was wondering if anybody knew the size of bolt that is used to mount the tranny to the block. Is this the best spot?

Thanks in advance

Ah, and one more quick question. The motor is going into an Escort GT, should I upgrade the fuel pump? Or will the 1.8l pump handle the job?
I will be upgrading the fuel system in the future, but for now........

I used two tranny mounting holes and the two through holes down on the skirt...no probs so far. The tranny holes are an M12X1.25 or 12mm metric fine thread.
Take a look in forced induction I read something in there about the fuel pump being a strong component and good for turbo...just going off memory so don't take it as fact.
Good luck.
Dylan
