Re: how do u take out the A.C
You live in Newport News and you want to take out your A/C? Just turn it off when you want to race, there's not that much of a weight penalty compared to the comfort it gives on a hot summer day! I could understand if you were going to drag race your car only but that's about the only reason. You never can tell where you're going to wind up either. I worked with a guy in south Texas who transfered there from Massachusetts. He had bought a truck in Mass and guess what? No air! He was sweating his a-- off in the flat, hot, humid, muggy, buggy, south Texas boondocks!<BR>My two cents.

Oh yeah, why cut the belt? Just don't turn it on! There's no drag unless the A/C is on and the clutch is engaged. Cutting the belt and leaving the compressor installed will ensure the compressor will be froze up after a while. The clutch acts a lot like an idler pulley when it's not engaged.
