sound system question

Ok i have 2 10" bostwick spl plus and a Lanzar vibe230 (400 watt) amp, i have them in my closet right now cause there still in truck boxes from my truck now my question is what kind of box would give me more bass, ive seen the ones within the box with the plexy glass, im not really trying to get competition boom BUT i would like it to look presentable and not ugly, i know custom fiberglass boxes would be the way to go to make it look really presentable but at this time im more worried about the exterior and engine than the trunk <P>So any suggestions?<P>Oh and positioning would i face the speakers towards the hatch or towards the front?<P>thanks guys

Hiya, I am the guy with the plexi glass bandpass box you are talking about, they sound great in my car, and I don't have any complaints, I forget under what heading it was but there was a post about bandpass vs. enclosed boxes. Personally I would go with bandpass again if my new design meet with it but it dosen't so I ain't gettin it again <P>And just to let you know you can get bandpass boxes that arn't completly made from plexi glass as well, mine was just made like that cause I wanted it like that <P>Well talk to you later by

go w/ ported. what sounds the LOUDEST is sub up, port back. What sounds the BEST is proably sub up port up... there will be less rattles that way(or at least thats how it goes in mine).

do u want a big box or a small one?<BR>how loud do u want it?<BR>the best way to put the sub and the port in our cars is sub up port up with the port as far to the back as you can get it.<BR>let me know what u want and i will give u a box design to fit ur needs i recently just got a design for my car for spl but it is 7.5 cubic feet and will take up all of the hatch area

actually id like it to where it would take up the back part of my trunk where is sorta narrower, and my speakers now arnt that great only 400watt but i want as much boom as i can get out of them

dude i can't give away my secrets<P>j/k<P>w = 31 in.<BR>h = 18 in.<BR>d = 23 in.<P>and it is the whole hatch area flush with the hatch cover which will have to be removed and it is 7.428033333 cubic feet lol<P>as for the stuff im getting ill let you know if i hit 155db cause if i don't im getting rid of it and starting over so till then its a secret
