Opening up a shop

Post by MrsOzx »

I am pondering on opening up a shop that does pretty much everything from Paint and Graphics to Putting in Parts (intakes, engine swaps, kits ...) I want to have someone to do interiors also. I think it would be a good investment. Cause I personally got sick of taking my Lude 50 different places and dealing with twice as many people. What do you think?

The loc is going to be Atl. I have already picked a space, and the money is in process. No I don't know everything there is to know, my speciality is paint and graphic design along with electronics (amps, subs, alarms, mobile video....)but it is going to be a good opertunity to learn the things I don't know and no matter how much you do know there is always more to learn... :)

actually, you also have to get permits like a health permit and etc....you have to get the building expected by a specialist to make sure there are no problems that can cause hazards or problems to health. they also have to inspect your inventory and make sure everything's legal...i'm pretty sure that you need a health permit. it'll be costy too, but well worth it in the end.

Ya you have to have a permit and they do inspect the premisis regularly, I own a construction company and I deal with that all the time as it is. It is going to cost around 500,000 at the very least to start. But yes.. Well worth it.

I'd wager to say Atlanta is a saturated market as far as aftermarket car products and services goes...

the only things i can think to say is dont let inventory sit in the store for long....change the layout of the store weekly....basicly you want the store to be different so the it doesnt get stale for customers....no one wants to come to a store and see the same old things everytime make it differnt......and pic a name as close to the beginning of the alphabet as possible so that when people are looking for a place to shop your name is the first on the list.....and make it a name that makes the customers feel like they are a part of the store like CLUB or TEAM it makes customers feel like they are part of a club or team when they shop at places like that...otherwise good luck its very hard to run a shop.....i used to want to open a shop until i worked at one its hard work.....good luck and i wish you the very best...
