Hard driving, Car almost stalls - SOLUTION(!?):

Post by RicharJB@Rogers.com »

I had, what i thought to be, a problem with my 1993 1.6L SOHC MX3 in that it would almost stall under heavy (or sometime even light) load after a hard drive (5500-6000rpm)

It seems that, for me, the solution was to keep it in gear as long as possible before engaging the clutch, rolling to a stop in 3rd gear at 1000 rpm seems to give no issues, even after heavy driving....

just thought I'd post my findings to everyone as it had been an embarrasing situation quite a few times (your car shuddering and shaking sucks)

thanks,
./jer

sounds like a vacume leak from the PCV. I have a GS but the day my car came out of the shop that was happening, while replacing my engine they broke the PCValve and shoved the hose into the hole. Well needless to say they never fixed it. It was the same symptoms that my car had untill I replaced my PCV.
