brakeline?

Post by spicy »

here's the deal, i just got my car back from being fixed and they told me that my brakeline was about to go. my boyfriend said it was the front passanger side tire that would be affected and all the others would still work.
i don't want to drive it because of this but a person has to get around yknow. so what im asking is, when a brakeline goes..does it make a lound sound? does the car wig out? i'm debating whether to drive it or not here. also, how much does it cost to replace this thing, labor included? bf said he could probably figure it out but he doesn't want to mess up on something like brakes. so looks like ill be taking it to a shop..
thanks! :]

if the Brake line goes, you'd better be prepared to pull on the emergency brakes because thats all that you will have left.
The flexable brake line should be aprrox. $10.
Not sure what the labor would be. maybe 1/2 hour.
I'm finding it hard to beleive that your mechanic would let you drive off if he knew your brake line was about to rupture.
I would also replace both sides at the same time.
