PRM makes a good product from what i hear (prmracing.com)...but what i'm gonna do is this, you tell me what u think:
take out the airbox and stock intake piping. leave MAF sensor with the pipe going from the MAF to the throlltle body in place...get a 3" silicone fitting from home depot. put the fitting on the MAF. now, Ractive (Toucan industries) makes a high flow conical filter with a heat shield on it....attach this filter to the silicone fitting...now attach another silicone fitting to the "suction" end of the filter. now route some 3" PVC from HOME DEPOT ;) to the space behind/underneath the headlamp, using 45 degree bend pieces and straight sections, piece it together, and figure it out...i think it'll work pretty well. comments? suggestions? bring 'em :-D..i'm open to ideas

3" is too big for a 1.8L motor.
Of course, you cant buy 2.5" anything at Home D-pot

Not trying to get smart or anything, but the 1993 mx-3 has a 1.6, and 3" is a decent size, most intake systems are 3", exhausts are normally 2.25-2.50
