engine problems broke down by road

Post by marshmallow15 »

hey guys. i was driving, pushing it a little more than usual and then all of a sudden the engine stopped running but the car was on, so i pulled over. i opened my hood and smoke was coming out of the headers and one of my radiator fans were not spinning....the fluid coolant was leaking in the past 2 weeks as well. well it didnt start up and i had to get it towed so i dont think it was overheating problems. any ideas what happened?

it's possible that your coolant hose busted and that's what created all the smoke. if this is the case, then it's possible you overheated the car. this might not be the case at all. if you could, describe it a little better....

If your engine overheated, wouldn't you notice that on the guage in your car? Or did you...or weren't looking at it?

if you fill it up and it still is leaking its your water pump.. you dont' see it leaking cause its covered by the timing belt cover.... <P>hit.. to get the boss pulley bolt off.. put a long handel ratchet on it.. and crack the car.. it'll hit the bottom frame.. and lossen the bolt..

the engine probably seized up from over heating. gotta have coolant. a busted hose would not make it stop running.
