strongest transmission

i would like to know if anyone knows what transmissions will mate to the dohc 1.6l. i know the b6t trans will but how much power can it handle? also will the bpt work??? i need a heavy duty trans that can handle a good launch. if i dont have any options has anyone tried to beef up the gears themselves and what do i need to make it stronger? from what derrick(cs) said, you can mate the bp tranny to the b6 motor. as far as the stock tranny, you could always have the gears shot peened(sp)
