funny engine noises

Ok, when my engine goes above 3500RPM it makes a straining rattling noise, it does it worst if its under full throttle. My dads Toyota truck made the same noise when it was accelerating hard but it is 11 years old. My car is only a 95 with about 37,000 miles on it. I just changed my oil, and it still makes the evil sound. Any advice?
