New red top battery in, and bumper fit once again. As a note.. make sure your clamps are on your pipes and tight before fitting the first time. It'll save you from doing it twice. All that is left are the coolant lines.

She's ALIVE! She starts and idles. Still need to get some nice 94 octane in her and fill a few maps for tuning.. other than that, it's finally down hill. :froggie_red:

After 6 months, the car finally drove. I still have to clamp the MAF voltage... the ecu has no idea what to do with boost just yet. I did spool up to about 4lbs though... she is far from fast right now but I'm excited.. That damn turbo spools soo damn quick. I did notice that my under hood temps are much higher and will need a turbo wrap and a mani heat shield. Not sure if fans are kicking in yet either. Plenty of time to work out the little stuff. :driver:

Starting the tuning process. Running quite rich right now. About an afr of 10 most of the time. Hitting 4psi and a little above with ease. She is starting to feel quick. My under hood temps are still quite high. Will have to cover that beaut of a mani with a heat shield :(
My maps will be up when the bugs get worked out.

Fans are working fine now. My earlier tuning issues which I thought was the ECU reading above normal MAF voltages, causing it to limp were incorrect. My MAF maps are currently untouched and it is driving fine. After a little reading on the miata forums, it seems their ecu does not detect boost, (or go into limp mode because if it) until 12psi. I am not sure if this would be the same for mine, odbI or what... but so far my ecu has not thrown one code and seems to be boosting without issue.

On a side note.. I thought I would need an O2 sensor spacer on my rear plug; being as though I no longer have a cat. Again, no cel for this either. I'm starting to get a little worried, this seems to easy so far.

Will keep you posted with new findings.

Hit 8.64 psi last night.. thought my integral wastegate was set to 8? Oh well, I guess I better put those colder plugs in now. It was not my intention to go that high just yet. Damn that heavy foot of mine. It only hit 8psi for a second before I lifted. It still does not feel to quick. If I were to guess with my butt-dyno.. it's maybe at 130-150 hp. I need a better street tune before taking it to the local dyno for a the professional touch.

Did some more work on car today. She is getting to be quite fast... but I have gone way past the holding ability of my stock clutch.

^thanx

So an update:
It's been a while since I've posted anything in the log. First off, I recieved an ever so slightly used F series tranny from MI|<E. Not only did the guy clean the tranny, he painted it to match my engine bay. <- What a guy! :2thumbsup: He also supplied an extra fly wheel and some mounts. Thanx again man.

My clutch kit came in from Image In Motion.
Spec stage 2+ good for 275 lb-ft.
Also included in my order was the Mishimoto gauge type rad caps (~19psi) x2. 1 for me and 1 for Mike.

Sorry for the crappy pic of the rad cap. It's F'n cold here right now.
