Looks nice -- this summer its my turn.
how's it workin for you so far MikeX-3? I'm sure you have tips for everyone else?
Did you use a 12v to 12v power supply or an inverter and a normal power supply? Do you have WiFi yet? Specs on the computer? Where did you mount the TV?

It's goin to be a 4x20 LCD character screen which will be mounted right under the stereo. The computer's a P2 with a 40x CD-ROM Drive. I've given up on the voice activation and I instead bought a wireless PC remote control off ebay for $15.

Re: computers ?
what about the monitor you bought? was it low quality?
I like my Power Acoustik. I'm sure its not the same quality as Alpine, IconTV, etc. but it's better than some of the others ones I've seen.
And MikeMx-3, is that the one that connects to your parallel port? I've seen the diagrams on how to build them and I thought about it -- but I already have the monitor.
Can someone recommend me some cheap graphics card though? I can't find anything cheap w/ a TV out. O, and it has to be PCI
I don't wanna buy a new MOBO.

Re: computers ?
really...you don't think I should get a LCD screen? How much would a touchscreen cost? I could get both. I haven't ordered the LCD yet so there's still time to decide. I am kinda short on money now that I got my first traffic ticket a couple of weeks ago. There goes the insurance through the roof.

Re: computers ?
if you are low on money, touch screen is NOT the way to go. The prices are crazy high right now but if you have the cash then is very well worth it. Also it looks GREAT at car shows.
If all you plan to use the computer for is mp3 get the LCD character display like you said. I plan to watch movies and play games on mine (the entire point of a computer in my car is the expandability!)
