Prayers for a good friend...

Post by cjthor »

Hey all,
I need everyones help. My good friend James Burke was in a motorcycle accident this morning. He has multiple fractures and is unconcious in the hospital. If the mx-3 community could find it in their heart to please put him in your prayers I would be greatly appreciative. Good friends are hard to find and he is by far one of my best. Thank you for your time and God bless.

Thank you for all your prayers. I went and saw Jimmy tonite and the doctors say that his frontal lobe is bruised. They say that he might have minimal brain damage. But this could be something that with rehabilitation can be repaired. He is currently in a drug induced coma so his body can heal. He will be under for about three days. Thank you for all your concern and I will keep you all posted. Again thank you and I will be printing this thread out to show Jim just how much people care..

The LORD works in mysterious ways. Anyone who is a believer knows this. I have found that ALL things seem to happen for a reason (in hindsight). I will keep him and his family in my prayers. I really hope that he will be back to 100% real soon. Just think, perhaps this wreck is the Lord's way of bringing you two closer as friends. Or perhaps this will make him choose to not ride a motorcycle again, which could spare his life down the road (because he could get in a worse accident). At any rate, the Lord has his reasons for what he does and I am sure that it will all work out for the best. Again, I wish him and his family (and you) the best and will keep them in my prayers. Take care (and PLEASE keep us posted). :(

UPDATE!!
They took Jim off some meds two days ago and last night he pulled the ventilator out of his throat and started talkin!! He was talkin about his honeymoon (three weeks ago) and his family to the nurses. He also recognized his stepfather and talked to him. Its soo wonderful to hear this news. He is still a little groggy but in time we will see what happens. Thank you all for your prayers!
