In Dash 6 CD Changer Question (Tribute)

You know, I haven't ever had any issues with my MX-3 in the 10 years I have owned it (and I am sure the next 10 will be fine as well), but this Tribute is causing me to scream.

Today, my 10 month old 2004 Mazda Tribute decided to cesase operations of the CD system. It is eternally stuck "ejecting" a disc. I was wondering if 1) you guys can point me to a Tribute community since I haven't been able to find one or 2) have any suggestions about what is wrong.

The closest Mazda dealer to me is an hour away, and the mechanics are there every 4th week. I may have to go to Bristol, TN to get it work on. :/

My parents have a 2002 Ford Escape (the escape is identical to a Tribute) and had the exact same problem, happened on a trip back from Ottawa, we had to take to to Ford dealer to get it replaced, shipped the broken cd player back to Ford and they shipped the stuck CD's back in teh mail a few WEEKS later..there is no force-ejection system, it's apparently the only way to get them out, fortunately it was covered under warranty...

Maybe, by luck, if there's a ford dealer nearby, you can get them to take care of it for you...

I also noticed that same CD changer is in the Mazda 6 as well
