My tale of woe

Post by evilMarc »

The start of this story is a few weeks back I was in an accident and damaged my bumper and my left turn light was popped out and cracked. I've been holding off on making the claim because I'm saving up so I can repaint at the same time. Anyway I park my car downtown when @work, some drunk vomited on my car and ripped off the broken light! As though that is not bad enough the next night I was driving in the rain and suddenly with no warning all the lights on my dash except for the clock went out. All the gauges including the temp control are out but my deck and radio still work. I figured it was just a fuse till yesterday I bought new fuses and tried replacing all the 15A fuses and none of them made a difference. Can anyone tell me what might be going on? And yes I did make sure the dimmer switch was not turned all the way down.

I have the same problem, my speedometer and tachometer lights wont come on when I turn my lights on, my A/C light and radio and everything else still works. It has something to do with the wiring. Not to sure what wire and where though. I tried asking for help, but I didnt get it.

I'm thinking its not wiring.<BR>Its too much of a coincidence that the dash lights went in the rain right after that a--hole ripped of my light exposing everything to the water. Some fuse blew or something that isn't supposed to get wet got wet in my case I think. It's probably the same part thats causing you trouble though.

Try the connection to your dimmer switch, mine used to do that but I pulled apart my dash and found out that the connecter to my switch had come off, the crash my have caused it to come loose. Give it a try I know that was what happened to me
