NGK V-powers. Simply the best bang for your buck plug on the market. <P>Cost: 1.59<BR>Difference with the 15 dollar plug: wont last QUITE as long. <P>You do the math

Re: What spark plugs do you use?
NGK deffinately makes the best bang for your buck spark plugs, but I still prefer Splitfires. Unfortunately there like $60Can for 6.

FROM A MECHANICS POINT OF VIEW. I USE DENSO PLUGS IN ALL MY CARS. THE NGKS ARE A NOTHER GOOD PLUG TO USE. IF U WANT TO GET PLATNUM OR IURIDUM BUT ITS NOT COMPLEATLY NECESSARY. NO OFFENSE TO ANY ONE BUT SPLITFIRES ARE JUNK I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS WITH THEM AND HAVENT HEARD A HOLE LOT OF GOOD THINGS. BUT PROTEGE IS RIGHT ITS MORE ECONIMICAL TO REPLACE PLUGS MORE OFTEN THEN SPEND A LOT OF MONEY FOR SOMETHING THATS NOT MUCH OF A GAIN( NOT THAT THE RIGHT EXPENSIVE PLUGS ARNT A GOOD THING)

Re: What spark plugs do you use?
Thanks, <P>Bosch +4s are a total waste of money. Once you build an engine that is going to turn 400 hp, then MAYBE they might make a difference (i believe Skylines gained like 5hp), but until then, 60 or 80 bucks for a set of plugs is totally wasted on good performance increasing items.

Re: What spark plugs do you use?
Splitfire plugs are garbage. First, they don't even fit properly. I remember when I tried a set, I had to re-tighten then every 2 weeks to a month. Someone told me the thread diameter on Splitfire plugs is undersized on MX-3's. Secondly, there's no increase in performance, it's more like a decrease. I got rid of them when I did my next oil change and I switched back to NGK V-Groove plugs. As far as I know these are the plugs you should be getting for:<P>Peformance - Beru Silverstone<BR>Reliability - NGK's Platinum<BR>Value - NGK V-Groove
Richard Y.<BR>'94 Black GS<BR>Stock V6, minor mods

Re: What spark plugs do you use?
What about BERU sparkplugs? Someone wrote an article about them (Was it Vaugh...?).
Re: What spark plugs do you use?
I dunno about cars, but i put the bosche platinum 4's in and noticed a really nice improvement in the overall performance. plus it smoothed out that weird drop in rpms when you co to a stop. didn't end it, just seems to keep it from stalling out. At $5(american) apiece they seem to kick a-- for me
