how to advance?retard timing ??

how do you advance or retard the timing from the distibutor ???? i've didi a search and didn;t find anything...also would useing the probe header on the 1.6 sohc give a little more go than the stock on that i have??? the only thing i have done so far is a catco cat. and 2 inch exhaust and home made cai 9mm plugs also. :froggie_red:

mark its location ...
loosten the bolts and turn it about 2-3 degrees.
If it pings, turn it down a little. You'll have to run high octane gas if u do this form now on while its advanced.

Before you do that, locate the diagnostic box on the firewall behind the battery. Jump the 10 and the GRD with a short 2" jumper wire.

You need to use a timing light so you can see how far you've advanced.

Clockwise to advance...
