In Search Of A Motor....

Post by 95mx3 »

new to the site but not to cars.... ive swapped numerous honda motors but i would like to swap a BPT-GTR/GTX into my stock 1.6L DOHC 4cyl. im looking for a package deal or at least somewhere where i can buy most of these following items.... (give or take a few) tranny, axels, ECU, Performance Clutch, Blow Off Valve, Fuel Pump, Custom intake, Custom intercooler, Water temp. and Oil pressure guages, A'PEXi S-AFC". the problem i have been running into is that i am gonna need alot of extras such as these important items. i would rather buy a partial or full package motor deal. if i dont get a package its gonna be off the road too long and it will cost more (to buy parts piece by piece not to mention finding them.) i live in the states (east coast). thanks for your time! if anyone knows of where i could get a package deal your help would be greatly appreciated!
95 Mazda MX-3 DOHC 4cyl.. 17's, Cat Back w/ 4.5in Tip, Custom Int.(CF Bezel,White and Black, 7"AutoMeter Tach, 4 Neons Hit W/ Bass, $375 Kenwood Headunit), $1300 Custom System(Including 2.25Farad Cap. Custom Built Box w/ 2 cut outs for 6x9's, 2 12" Infinity's, 1200w Amp, 4 tweeters. It might not be as fast, but it sure as hell looks and sounds better than a Honda! CF Invert. hood! Primer&Fittin Drift Front and Sides w/ K-Max Rear.

Ok,

The Mx-3 does not have near the aftermarket support that a typical honda does, so a package deal is probley out of the question. Unless you could find someone selling all the stuff ya need which is doubful. I would sugest visiting this web site they have a lot of parts for the swap.
And do a search on the board it will anser many questions you may have.

Peace; Gary

im not sure what ecu would be best for the bpt?! what do u guys think? i think my best bet would to be try and find a full front clip. it may be a little more but then i wont get nickel and dimed to death.

ok, that's my point. you can't use another ecu unless you use the other harness. this is a pain and not worth it at all. unfortunately, the easiest and most beneficial solution for dohc mx3's is a standalone system.
