brake caliper

Post by jjennings153 »

ok, i changed my tranny in my mx-3 abut a week ago, as you know, you have to pull the axels i did, and put them back in, then i put the brake caliper back on,went to put the wheel back on and two of the studs we stripped from the previous owner, i ahd to fight for an hr to get them off, so the nect day i went to put the new wheel studs in, but the brake caliper will NOT come off, ive tried everything, the two bolts that hold it in whent in fien now they will NOT come out, if anyone knows why this is or has a soulotion to my problem without brakein the caliper or the bolts, please let me know, thanks

Did you try spraying some WD-40 and hitting with hammer? Mind as well. Try to brake it free a little bit and see what happens. I dont know how it could get stuck so fast but, there might be some crap stuck inside.
[ September 09, 2003: Message edited by: mx3TT ]

Yah.. get some lubricant and bang it out.. I had to do that just last week because of that. After you get them out.. make sure you lubricate them before you put them back in so you don't have that problem in the future
