I was just wondering if it would be possible to fit my 2.0 dohc 4cyl mx6 motor in my 93 mx-3 1.6 sohc??????
'93 white 1.6 sohc mx-3

possible yes.. plasuable.. no.<p>A BPD would be a better swap and a better performer.. Do some searching on the protege lx swaps.. there a straight bolt in.

The 2.0L will make more power than the BP, especially the FE3. Is it worth it? That depends on your pocket book, You are looking at a minimum of $10000 to just get this thing going. The FE3 has a higher hp capability (in most cases), Danny has a goal of 1000rwhp for his FE3 powered Miata. The BP is capable of this but the FE3 is much more beefy. The BP can be made into a 2.0L stroker with a kit that is in the final production stages at FM - retail is around $4000usd.

the FS motors are crap. THe only one worth noting is the FE3 which is only available from kia sportages stateside. The FS is in the new proteges as well...they have a hard enough time squeezing any power out of them NA. EVen turbo'ing them isn't as rewarding as a BP

Heh yeah the fe3 is a good lil champ.. but anything else wouldnt be worth your time.
